Vice Mayor, Lori Hunt – Mentor

Lori has over 30 years of experience in City and County government. She brings to Council knowledge in Economic Development, Community Development and Planning. Lori is very much a consensus builder. She is appreciative that local government is a nonpartisan position, which is the only way to get things done! When I was asked to fill the open position on the Town of Prescott Valley Council, Lori helped mentor me in learning how the Council operated and helped guide me through the maze of being a public official. Not only did she mentor me, but she also led by her example of serving the community as one of the most patient, kind and “for the People” approach she has to every decision that needs to be made.

Lori is a phenomenal asset to the town of PV and the surrounding towns and cities. She has a knack for getting things done where others have failed.
She supports all things “youth”. She advocates at the town and state level for students and teachers. She frequently substitute teaches and volunteers in the Humboldt Unified School District. Her love for this community is not lacking.

Desirae Pitt, PV Resident

Lori Hunt brings passion, commitment and enthusiasm to her community work. She spearheaded the establishment of the Illegal Fentanyl Workgroup, supporting parents that have lost a loved one. The group also provided language for AZ legislation designed to keep the community safer from this devastating drug. Recently she has assisted with launching the grassroots project, a diaper bank serving Yavapai County families in need. Thank you, Lori, for all your service and efforts in making our community a better place to live.

Lori’s heart for serving the community is unmatched. She works tirelessly toward creating a Prescott Valley that is warm, welcoming, and supportive. Serving beside her on the PV Town Council is a privilege and a pleasure.

Councilwoman April Hepperle

Lori is a strong advocate for the children and families in our Town. She volunteers her time on the Humboldt Education Foundation Board (HEF) serving the teachers and students of the Humboldt Unified School District (HUSD) since 2019. Most recently she has stepped up to help the Hungry Kids Program, which is a program under the HEF umbrella and serves HUSD
students who have food insecurities over the weekend and holidays from school. For the past two years Lori has been a substitute teacher within HUSD schools because she saw a lack of substitute teachers in our area and the effect it has on school staff when they are short staffed. She also volunteers at Read Across America and other school events during the school year. She has served as the Committee Chair for the Prescott Valley Illegal Fentanyl Work Group which meets to educate the community about fentanyl and advocate for legislative changes. Lori takes the time to learn as much about a topic as possible then brings partners to the table to develop solutions. Her volunteerism and dedication to this town shows a commitment to the families of Prescott Valley.

Lori Hunt is an asset to Prescott Valley. She is a passionate, caring and hardworking individual. She serves in many capacities in our town and does all of these roles with her whole heart.  She has been working on the Humboldt Education Foundation as an active and leading member for over 5 years.  In this capacity she has helped to support teacher grants, students scholarships and honor our teachers  at our annual Teacher of Year Banquet. In addition, Lori is our direct liaison and contact for our Hungry Kids Project that ensures students go home each weekend with 3 meals a day to feed them while they are not in school.  She is passionate about ensuring our youth is taken care of emotionally and physically.  I have served with her on countless other committees such as The Illegal Fentanyl Workgroup and community development campaigns. You can often find her substitute teaching in classrooms that range from elementary to high school engaging with our children and providing them with a strong role model.  Her commitment and willingness to lead by example to make Prescott Valley the best town for all citizens cannot be overlooked. Lori Hunt is the choice for Vice Mayor of Prescott Valley.

Aimee Fleming
Humboldt Education Foundation President

Lori Hunt is running for re-election! She has been a tremendous Town Council leader since September, 2019, most recently serving as Vice Mayor. Lori is a strong supporter of the Humboldt Unified School District , and serves on the Humboldt Education Foundation board. She also works with Matforce, and has helped spearhead the Illegal Fentanyl Workgroup, both organizations battling the drug abuse epidemic that is so damaging to our youth, and the very fabric of our community. Lori supports building the local economy through business expansion, and attainable housing initiatives. She is an open-minded individual willing to hear all viewpoints, and the kind of tireless servant leader Prescott Valley needs to continue the smart progress we are making as a community. Please join me in supporting Lori Hunt for Prescott Valley Town Council!
